Tinker Bell Weekend Part I

Dear Logan,

Today, we left San Diego to go to Disneyland for our Tinker Bell Race weekend. Tomorrow you will be racing the 1-3 year old 100 meter dash at 9:00 AM. On Sunday, your mommy and daddy will be running 13.1 miles (half marathon). This will be our second Tinker Bell 1/2 Marathon and you're second Disney Race.

Your finisher's medal

We headed over to the expo to pick up our race bibs and goodie bag to complete our race registration.

Uncle Howie

Dear Logan,

Today is your Uncle Howie's 40th birthday. I will add more to this and tell you about your Uncle Howie. He's one of the funniest people I know and we can laugh for hours.

Here's a list of topics about your Uncle Howie I would like to tell you about him.

1. He's my brother
2. Extremely funny and has awesome entertaining stories
3. Very passionate about the filipino martial arts. He now studies and teaches San Miguel Eskrima.
4. He's a male nurse at Kaiser
5. Doesn't take crap from anyone just like your daddy.
6. We both have done a lot of things growing up that a lot of people don't believe us. Yes, some of the experiences we went through seemed unbelievable, but they're all true.

Love you,
- Daddy

Under Promise, Over Deliver

Dear Logan,

So far my day started off with my goals for 2013 at my work at HP with my boss Diego Garcia. I think my goals are not attainable and may set myself up for failure. I need to revisit these goals and have a discussion with Diego to change them for realistic attainable goals. What do you have to learn from this paragraph? Always speak up when in doubt and don't over promised something that you may not reach as you will cause disappointment for yourself and others.
Last night you had a rough time. It was tough for me to see you cry so hard because you are at that two year old stage where you want to do everything on your own. You were so persistent in wanting to complete something that I was not sure what you wanted to accomplish or complete. I wouldn't mind you wanting to finish what you started as that's a very good trait to have, but when you start something you tend to go off on a tangent, like playing. Not bad, but sometimes we get tired.  For example, last night after your bath, you wanted to put away the toys in the bath tub. Instead of putting them away or pretend to put them away, you end up playing with it. Mommy and I needed you to get out because it's cold and you're still wet. Plus it was getting late.
In the end you ended up saying good night, love you, and good luck like you always do to us and went to sleep. You're such a little angel and you have parents who love you very much.
Love you,
- Daddy
