Overall, I think I am all BEEFED out. Started off on Friday at Donovan's Steak & Chop House in La Jolla (AWESOME, HIGHLY RECOMMEND) with GREAT friends, In & Out burgers on Saturday (ANIMAL STYLE DOUBLE DOUBLE of course), hit up HODADS Burger Joint in Ocean Beach (one of the best burgers in town) for a Sunday lunch, and for dinner Outback Steak House. I had a fabulous birthday weekend with friends and family. Tried to eat as much red meat as possible. Now I am paying for it because my stomach is planning revenge! It was all worth it though! No red meat till next year on my birthday.

Last Red Meat Meal for 2008!
To finish off my "Birthday Red Meat Frenzy" was my dinner trip to Outback Steak House. My expectations are not high with this place but, it is way better than Sizzler and Black Angus. I ordered a 9 oz Filet Mignon medium rare and from past experiences they always over cook it. When it arrived in front of me, it was just what I expected it. It was medium well. The workers there were very apologetic and did not hesitate to make another one for me. At least they got it right the second time, just like last year. The steak was just "OK". Not the greatest but, "OK".
Birthday Today!
My wife Rosie ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with everything on it without onions. I ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with everything and a side of Onion Rings. Onion rings came out first and they were cooked just right. Five minutes later, our burgers arrived. I should not have ordered the Double as this double burger was at least 4.5 inches thick. I had no clue on how I was going to eat it. I finished that puppy in less than five minutes though. With me, the messier the food, the faster I eat it. However, I'm currently paying for it. Two minutes later, my stomach started to churn. Let me remind you, that I do not eat red meat at all throughout the year and the only time I eat red meat is during my birthday weekend. After eating the burgers, Rosie suggested that we walk it off around Ocean Beach. It slightly helped my situation, but I still felt my stomach churning. I knew in the next hour or so I would experience what my good friend Ray Gador called it the "Red Meat Runs".
Later this evening, I'm hitting up Outback Steak House.
